Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin, also President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met Le Thi Thuy, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), Vice-President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam Women's Union, in Beijing on September 17.
Shen noted under the strategic guidance of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President, and To Lam, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Vietnamese President, development of China-Vietnam relations has maintained positive momentum. China, she added, is ready to work with Vietnam to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, to advance the guiding principles from the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, deepen women's exchanges and cooperation, and ensure deeper and more substantive progress in the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
Le spoke highly of the achievements in Chinese women's development, and she said she is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, to contribute to the development of Vietnam-China relations.
Huang Xiaowei, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, attended the meeting. On the same day, Huang and Le also exchanged views on deepening interactions between women in China and Vietnam.
Lin Yi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, and Hoang Van Tuan, Minister of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in China, also attended.
At the invitation of the ACWF, Le led a delegation to visit China.
