China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) and Tencent Sustainable Social Value Organization on July 22 launched a women's health project in Beijing. The project is aimed at improving women's health awareness, and health level, through counseling, financial assistance and cancer-related-knowledge dissemination.
During the event to launch the project, doctors and representatives of women's federations and maternal and children's hospitals talked about their experiences in conducting relevant work. They also offered suggestions about how to ensure the project's effects.
Organizers will build demonstration medical-assistance networks in more than 40 cities/counties in 10 provinces in central and western China. Women diagnosed with breast and/or cervical cancer will receive one-stop services. Tencent's digital and intelligent technologies will support the project, and will be used to collect feedback about the services provided.
Publicity activities, involving the prevention and treatment of breast and cervical cancer, will be held to get the public to focus on women's health.
