Fifty-four high school students from Southwest China’s Yunnan Province participated in a study tour, under the Spring Bud Project, in Beijing from August 13-17.
The tour was organized by China Children and Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF) and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited (CASIC).
The students visited Lugou Bridge and the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression on August 15. They learned about the history of Chinese people’s arduous struggles during the war.
The girls also visited the National Museum of China and the Museum of the Communist Party of China, where they were impressed by the country’s glorious history and splendid culture, and where they learned about the Party’s remarkable achievements since its establishment in 1921.
During their visit to HIWING Technology Academy, under CASIC, the girls watched a promotional video about the academy’s development, and learned about the development of China’s aerospace industry.
An expert from the Institute of Psychology, under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a lecture about how the girls can deal with mental stress during their preparations for the national college-entrance examinations.
Eight women scientists from CASIC had face-to-face exchanges with the Spring Bud girls. They answered the girls’ questions about aerospace technologies, and they talked about their experiences in the workplace.
