Laizhou (a city in East China's Shandong Province) Women's Federation has made innovative use of the city's women and children's activity center, to serve women, children and their families, in recent years. The center provides services to women and children more than 50,000 times per year.
The federation has allowed 16 outstanding women's social organizations to operate in the center. It has invited representatives from schools and communities to experience the social organizations' services in the center, and it has organized the organizations' staff to visit women's business-demonstration bases.
An incubation base for women's innovation and entrepreneurship was established in the center, and classrooms have been provided, for free, for lectures specifically related to women's issues. Nine of the 16 organizations have 28 branches, in 17 towns/ subdistricts, in Laizhou.
