Xizang Autonomous Region Women's Federation (in Southwest China) recently conducted the 2026 elder-care-worker training course. The opening ceremony, attended by 30 participants, was held in mid-March.
The federation organized the course to elevate the professional expertise and capabilities of domestic-service workers, help women participants adapt to market demands, achieve steady progress in elder-care and domestic services, and help the women realize their full potential. The goal of the course is to empower women, through skills, and help in-need families, across the region, with quality seekers.
The participants said they intended to make the most of the learning opportunity, dedicate themselves to mastering elder-care expertise and diligently practice hands-on skills. They said they aimed to obtain nationally recognized vocational certificates, secure stable employment and increase their incomes, through professional competence.
The course, which combined theoretical knowledge and practical application, focused on practical eldercare skills, with a curriculum tailored to local needs. The course not only addressed gaps in skills for women in the elder-care sector, but also aimed to cultivate a number of skilled, professional women caregivers for the region's elder-care industry, to ensure seniors in the region are able to live happy lives in their later years.
