The first development support center for women in emerging sectors in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province was inaugurated at Daqing Fusion Media Center (Daqing Radio and Broadcasting Station), in Daqing (a city in Heilongjiang), in March.
The center was established by Daqing Women's Federation, in collaboration with Daqing Municipal Party (Communist Party of China) Committee's Social Work Department and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.
The center has since launched 31 service projects, and it is expected to host more than 200 activities throughout this year, directly serving more than 10,000 women. The center, which aims to upgrade service delivery from "fragmented provision" to "systematic empowerment," is striving to become a high-quality service hub and growth cradle for women in emerging sectors.
During the center's launch, the heads of eight service bases — including the children's growth practice base, family education practice base and women's broadcaster incubation base — detailed the upgraded services of their respective bases.
In recent years, under the leadership of Daqing Municipal Party Committee, with the guidance of Heilongjiang Women's Federation, Daqing Women's Federation has mobilized resources from various sectors of society, and it has established eight service bases.
In 2026, Daqing Women's Federation will address the needs of women and children in the region, by optimizing the center's functions and enhancing service quality.
