To gather women's strength in urban development, under the guidance of the Organization Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), the ACWF Social Liaison, Exchanges and Cooperation Center and Women City Planners' Committee of the China Association of City Planning held an event, on May 20, in Beijing. Approximately 200 people, including representatives of the urban planning sector, ACWF's group members, and Beijing-based women's social organizations, attended.
Three guests gave speeches about the missions of women city planners, and about their care and services for women, children and their families.
Focusing on the topic, "urban planning from women's diverse perspectives," four representatives from ACWF's group members and women's social organizations attended a roundtable. They discussed how to guide women, in their respective industries, in integrating their development ideas into urban planning, and in making achievements during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).
The China Academy of Urban Planning and Design's research results about guidance in building all-age-friendly cities were publicized. The results will provide criteria and a technical reference for building all-age-friendly cities.
