A base for practices in protecting women and children's rights and interests was established in Ningde, a city in Southeast China's Fujian Province, on May 15.
The base has three sections. In the legal-popularization section, typical cases involving protection of women and children's rights and interests in Ningde, the procedures used to protect those rights and the functions of hotline 12338 are on display. In the psychological-services section, staff satisfy practical demands, such as helping to improve parent-child relations and emotional guidance for minors. Staff provide professional mediation and psychological support to families who are coping with disputes in the family affairs mediation section.
"We hope the base will become a hub that links families, schools and society, and that it will safeguard women and children's rights and interests through professional and systematic services," an official from Ningde Women's Federation says.
