Yuan Yuan is Party (Communist Party of China) chief of Modamuji Gacha, a village in New Barag Left Banner, in Hulun Buir, a city in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Yuan Yuan has taken on the mission of advancing industrial transformation and upgrading in pastoral areas while boosting women's incomes. She established an integrated industrial platform for the production and marketing of Subai cattle. This has helped open sales channels for beef cattle in the region, and ensure high-quality livestock products realize true market value. Cumulative sales of high-quality beef cattle on the platform are expected to exceed 500 head by year's end.
Yuan Yuan's efforts vividly exemplify how women in pastoral areas in the new era are devoted to working at the grassroots level, with entrepreneurial drive, and how the women have been contributing to common prosperity.
