Hefei Women's Creative Economy Promotion Society was established in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui Province, on July 9. The society's predecessor was Hefei Women Creative Business Owners Alliance.
In recent years, many women, who are creative and good at business operations, have been engaged in industries in Hefei involving new forms of consumption. To serve and connect with women owners of creative businesses, Hefei Women's Federation established the alliance in April 2025.
The society focuses on cultivation of brands and creative business owners, especially in industries involving culture, crafts and intangible cultural heritage. The society will help promote digitization of traditional crafts.
To cultivate creative brands, it will establish a mechanism that organizes successful businesswomen to provide paired-up assistance to women who start micro and/or small businesses, especially in villages and communities.
The society intends to organize a team of instructors, composed of experts from relevant fields and leading creative business owners, and it will hold workshops on entrepreneurship and employment empowerment.
It will maintain connections with women's federations, the city's departments of culture, tourism and commerce, the local women entrepreneurs' association and women's association for science and technology.
