Several local women's federations, in collaboration with local human resources and social security departments, hosted job fairs, tailored specifically for women, during March.
In Northwest China's Qinghai Province, the job fair targeted women graduates and women from various sectors of society. During the event, a craft-exhibition area, established by Qinghai Women's Federation, showcased how traditional craftsmanship can be translated into employment. At the policy consultation and legal aid area, staff provided patient and detailed guidance as they addressed women's concerns. Professional advisors were invited to provide career guidance to job seekers.
The event combined both online and offline services, and 54 high-quality enterprises offered more than 2,800 job opportunities, including more than 2,200 positions that offered broad development prospects, and which were suited to women's strengths.
In Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei Province, the 2026 Spring Breeze Action job fair attracted more than 50 enterprises, which combined offered more than 2,200 job positions to women. More than 40 percent (955) of the positions were childbirth-friendly jobs.
Officials of Wuhan Women's Federation, one of the event's organizers, noted the concept of “childbirth-friendly” was defined in four specific dimensions, which were clearly communicated to job seekers through posters at the event. The four dimensions were: Work-hour friendly, work-style friendly, work-environment friendly, and career-development friendly.
Many jobs in high-tech fields, including biomedicine, the Internet and information technology, were offered during the job fair. Women job seekers also had access to one-on-one services, such as career planning, resume reviews, and rights-protection consultations.
In Dalian, a city in Northeast China's Liaoning Province, a job fair was held specifically for women and women university students. In all, 159 enterprises attended, and they offered a combined 5,868 job opportunities, including 1,870 childbirth-friendly positions. More than 4,000 women job seekers attended, with 986 reaching initial employment agreements.
At the intangible cultural heritage handicraft experience area, artisans offered skills training to participants and showcased the promising prospects of flexible employment. The event was hosted via an integrated online and offline approach. Online, more than 500 enterprises offered more than 10,000 job positions, with 12,000 people browsing and selecting jobs virtually.
