China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and Lenovo Group donated an artificial intelligence (AI) classroom to Chengdong Secondary School, in Ninghua, a county in Southeast China's Fujian Province. The presentation took place on June 3. The event was part of Dream of the Future Project.
The classroom is equipped with an 86-inch smart blackboard, an AI platform, 40 smart desks and supporting equipment. Graded AI literacy courses will be conducted in the school.
During the event, students and teachers (some online and others offline) in Ninghua attended an AI-themed lecture, given by a teacher from the School of Computer and Big Data, under Minjiang
University.
To help narrow the gaps in the quality of education between regions, CCTF and Lenovo Group launched the Dream of the Future Project in 2022.
Under the project, various science-literacy courses, psychological-care services and study tours have been organized. Also, AI education equipment has been donated to several schools.
More than 50,000 students, and their teachers, in Yunnan, Sichuan, Gansu, Henan, Hebei and Guizhou provinces, have benefited from the project.
