Zhang Jinmei, a plant expert and a delegate to the upcoming 20th National Congress of the CPC, has made great contributions to the cultivation of multiple types of lilacs blooming on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Her work also paved the way for the establishment of the first and only lilac germplasm bank in China.
