A women's voluntary service project was launched on January 23, 2026, in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province. The project involves seven service programs in various areas, including science popularization, support to women's entrepreneurship, elder and child care, dispute mediation and family tradition cultivation.
Several "small and warm" activities have been organized. The projects and activities will help build a women's voluntary service system that provides targeted, highly efficient and professional services over the long term.
Seven teams, under Changchun Women Volunteers' Association, will provide care to children coping with difficulties, elderly people who live alone, and workers in new employment groups prior to this year's Spring Festival. The teams will send necessities or offer companionship to those people. The association is encouraging women to join the teams of volunteers.
