Hulun Buir (a city in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) Women's Federation established a women and children's rights-protection-service station, in the city's non-litigation-dispute-mediation center, in 2022. Since then, the center has developed a new path for protecting women and children's rights and interests.
The center provides one-stop, public legal services that integrate case reports, legal assistance, dispute mediation, case handling and voluntary services.
Women account for about 73 percent of the center's staff. The center has a special service window where a lawyer and a mediator receive visitors who need help and answer calls on the hotline, 12338.
The center has 38 dispute-handling work stations, which deal with transportation, property management, medical care and other industries.
Professionals from courts, procuratorates, public-security and labor-arbitration departments or psychological counseling agencies have worked together in protecting women and children's rights and interests, especially related to labor, marriage and inheritance.
Since 2019, the center has handled 233 womenrelated, legal-assistance cases and 48 minor-related, legal-assistance cases. Work stations in the center have solved 497 disputes involving women and/or children.
